Something recurring in my archiving is the "interview suit;" a midcentury woman's "lucky" outfit meant to empower her during interviews. A suit is such a rigid thing, and an interview such an intimidating one, I wanted my suit to be about comfort.

This plaid fabric is from Pendelton Woolen Mills in the PNW, where I'm from, and the color of the lining is the color of my childhood bedroom - this piece embodies home. The facings are done in velvet to give a soft and comforting texture against the skin.
