Look 2

The key to my great-grandmother's sewing machine held more metaphorical weight than a little key should've. This dress was my reflection on that - a minimal, light dress held onto the body by the weight of the key trim. The tuck at the hip reflects the braid she had tied to the key. As the wearer moves, the trim creates a musical chiming sound, following the wearer, never leaving them alone.

Here it is paired with a custom nickel cuff I sculpted inspired by the tucked scarf. A band of hammered brass touches the wearer's skin as a hidden detail added for only them to see, and as a way to balance the weight of the ruffle.
